Homecoming | Cawein Gallery Reception & Artist's Workshop with Mai Ide
The Cawein Gallery will host an opening reception for Japanese artist Mai Ide鈥檚 latest exhibition. Join fellow art lovers and members of the Pacific community for light refreshments and a conversation with the artist before a hands-on workshop.
Ide鈥檚 work features salvaged fabrics beautifully mended and combined with sashiko, a beautiful and traditional Japanese embroidery technique. Take this unique opportunity to learn from an artist with ten years of textile design experience and gain practical repair skills you can take home and put into practice while being surrounded by exceptional contemporary art.
