51ºÚÁÏ

Jessica Scruggs DHS '09, the 2026 51ºÚÁÏ Alumni Association Outstanding Alumni Award winner, carries the lessons she learned as a dental hygiene student forward as a healthcare leader.

Jessica Scruggs DHS '09, Bruce Bishop '68 and Pabita Dhungel MS '19 will be honored for outstanding achievement and service at Pacific's homecoming in October.

Amy Coplen's passion for developing 51ºÚÁÏ's Master of Dental Therapy program required her to go back to class and become a dental therapist herself.

The second accredited master's program in dental therapy in the U.S. will train a new tier of professionals to bridge the gaps in oral care in rural and underserved communities.

As children prepared to head back to school, faculty experts from 51ºÚÁÏ's dental hygiene, audiology, and optometry programs provided advice to KOIN AM Extra on caring for your child's teeth, hearing and sight before school begins.

A recipient of the U.S. Surgeon General's Exemplary Service Medal, Jessica Scruggs DHS '09 harnesses the power of community to build better health outcomes.

2024 51ºÚÁÏ Alumni Association Outstanding Alumni Award winner Brian Swann '70 continues to advocate for oral health & carrying that care to underserved populations.

A generous donation by DCI International, a leading dental components and equipment manufacturer, is enhancing the educational experience for Pacific's dental hygiene students and patients alike.

A passion for dental care and serving his community has led School of Dental Hygiene Studies professor Wilber Ramirez-Rodriguez '10 to national service appointments with both the American Dental Therapy Association and the Hispanic Dental Association.
