Alex (Bing) Marchbanks '14, SLP '18 found her passion for speech-language pathology at Pacific. A scholarship funded by donors helped turn her dreams to reality as she completes her master's degree this spring.

Alongside a doctor and nurses providing family care for more than 20,000 residents of Bungoma, Corby Makin '12 describes his experiences combining the civic spirit he learned at 51ºÚÁÏ with his medical skills through his mission in Kenya. 

Some 520 51ºÚÁÏ students and alumni served in World War II. About 31, roughly equivalent to an entire senior class at the time, never came home.

Yukie Katayama Sumoge is one of the Japanese-American students at 51ºÚÁÏ whose education was disrupted when she was forced into an internment camp during World War II. In this 2007 archive story, she shared her story.
